Remedy Rea, LMT
I first became interested in massage therapy 10 years ago as a young single mother.
With very little community or family, I began seeking career paths that would meet my tiny family of two's needs for not only survival, but flexibility, nourishment, and deeply fulfilling satisfaction.
It took nearly 10 years before we were ready for me to take steps towards my career as an LMT. I've worked as a preschool teacher, farmer, nanny, front desk manager, barista, birth doula, and as the vintage buyer at Psychic Sister (you can still find me there on Tuesdays!)
I've loved gaining so many different experiences and skills, all of which cultivated me into the person I am today and shaped my craft as a massage therapist.
I'm a deep believer in the healing power of tending to the quiet, secretive, and mysterious. Our heart's desires, motivations, and shadows are inside of us always, speaking softly and not always so easy to hear. As an intuitive practitioner, I strive to listen for and follow the hidden subtle as much as the seen and spoken. I'm continually honored to receive the gift of holding space for my clients.
My joy as an LMT lies in the big, small, and everywhere-in-between moments of trust that truly make this work magical.
In my free time, I'm a singer, dancer, reader, writer, and poet. I love quiet mornings my cat Danny, walks in the woods with my dog Cowboy, and spending time doing anything in the world with my daughter Fern and fiance Blue. I'm a lover of the slow and timeless beauty of the earth, old and handcrafted items, tall trees, bright flowers, fresh food, gentle beings, and the small miracles we find in the day-to-day.
I believe there's magic of filling the eyes with gorgeous sights, and I love to find creative ways to adorn life in as many ways possible. I love astrology, magic, my friends and family, books, home cooked food, collaborative community, and my work.

What is a Somatic Release Session?
The term somatic refers to the connection between our physical bodies and emotional selves. Whatever session you book, I lead with from an intuitive mindset and take a somatic approach by listening to your expressed needs and goals and paying careful attention to the body's more subtle ways of communicating.
Our bodies hold our stories, and it's common for stored emotion to live undetected in our tissues, often for years. A somatic (emotional) release may occur when we come across one of these pockets of emotional storage during a session and has the potential to show up in any type of session.
When emotions come to surface, I quietly check in while maintaining the energetic space we've created. Some clients choose to stay with the area and hold space for the release, and others choose to move away and return to quieter emotional waters.
Somatic release sessions make themselves known and available when the space and energy are in alignment. Emotions, like the moon, ebb and flow and aren't always so easy to plan around. As such, I offer every session to every client as an opportunity for a somatic release session, in trust that what's right for each individual client will make itself known during the session.
In deep gratitude for your trust, I work collaboratively with you the curate the session to exactly what you need during our time together.
